Lick of the Week 12: Traveling 3 Positions

This is a great lick to help you move from one position to another, and of course, you can take this basic idea and apply it to more positions as well!

    1. Hey Dave, yeah, sliding on the 4th string to the 7th fret (which is an A). Then playing 5th fret, strings 1 and 2. Those notes are E and A, respectively, so basically you're playing AEA, which is just a re-voicing of a normal power chord, using the 1, 5 and 8 notes. Does that make sense or am I throwing too much theory in here? ?
