Ms. Galina Music Lessons provides professional instruction in the Pittsburgh area. Galina Istomin is a highly experienced teacher who has served the local community for 30 years and held a faculty position at The Ellis School. She earned her Master’s Degree from the State Conservatory in Russia and an Artists Diploma from Carnegie Mellon University. In addition to teaching, she performs as a concertmaster for the Edgewood Symphony and the Butler Symphony.

Teaching students of all ages and skill levels, she offers private instruction in violin, viola, cello, and piano. Galina is known for being a supportive and encouraging mentor who helps every student work toward their specific musical goals. Her students have achieved great success, often performing at major venues like Heinz Hall and Carnegie Hall. Many of her younger pupils have also earned leadership roles in youth orchestras.

Lessons are available for students ranging from ages 5 to 65. She offers a free 15 minute private lesson for those interested in starting their musical journey.
