Tom Hawthorn is a highly experienced drum teacher based in Kirkstall, Leeds. He holds a 1st Class degree and a Masters in jazz performance and has over 20 years of private teaching experience with more than 200 pupils. He tailors lessons to individual student needs, making learning fun and enjoyable with industry-standard equipment. Tom is proficient in teaching various styles including Jazz, Rock, Pop, Funk, Blues, Motown/Soul, and Hip-Hop, along with rudimental snare drumming, music theory, sight reading, and stick technique. He offers preparation for Music Grades 1-8 (Trinity Rock and Pop), GCSE/A-Level, and music college auditions. Tom is also a teaching mentor, DBS checked, PLI certified, and safeguarding trained. He is currently fully booked for younger learners but maintains a waiting list.
