The Guitar Loft is led by Matt Prescott, a professional musician based in Spokane Valley. He brings over 35 years of live performance experience and more than 20 years of teaching expertise to his lessons. His background includes playing in various rock, jazz, blues, and metal groups in Seattle, along with years of experience in audio recording and guitar repair.

Lessons focus on teaching technique, theory, and ear training through the songs that students already love. Matt customizes his program for every individual to keep the environment fun and low-pressure. He understands that students often have busy jobs or school schedules, so he treats music as a relaxing escape rather than more work.

Students can expect a professional approach that builds musical skills while keeping them motivated. Matt offers instruction out of his home studio in Spokane Valley, which is located conveniently near the Pines exit off I-90. He is dedicated to helping people of any skill level become confident musicians who truly enjoy playing their instruments.
