About

StrumTree is a guitar school based in Downer that provides music education for older adults and seniors. They focus on enriching the community by helping students realize their dream of playing an instrument. While the classes are designed for retirees and people over the age of 50, all adults are welcome to join.

Weekly lessons last for 60 minutes and take place in various community spaces throughout Canberra. Teachers tailor the content to what the group wants to learn, including favorite songs and special music styles. The environment is safe and non-judgmental, which allows students to grow their confidence while they practice.
