Strings & Fingertips is a music instruction business based in Purdys, New York, led by instructor Matt Compito. Matt brings over a decade of teaching experience to his students, supported by his educational background from the Berklee College of Music. He offers expert guitar lessons to both children and adults across Westchester County and beyond.

Lessons are offered in a virtual format or at the student’s home. Matt focuses on progress-driven instruction that is tailored to each student’s personal musical goals. His teaching style is described as patient and encouraging, utilizing fun and engaging methods to help students master new skills and songs while they learn.

Students of all experience levels are welcome, ranging from beginners to those at advanced stages. Matt teaches a variety of styles, including jazz, rock, blues, and funk. In addition to regular lessons, he offers music therapy services and is available for live event performances.
