Sarcastic Guitars is based in Jennerstown, PA. They specialize in crafting pro-grade, one-of-a-kind guitars using high-quality lumber sourced from the local Southwestern Pennsylvania area. Their guitars are known for their design details and playability. Formerly known as Scar Guitars, the company rebranded due to confusion with another builder.

They aim to make it fun, efficient, and affordable for people to design, purchase, and play their own custom, pro-grade guitars. Sarcastic Guitars uses quality electrical components and pickups and hand-selects each piece of wood to match the customer’s preferences.

The guitars feature unique wood such as Sassafras and Butternut. Barnboard guitars incorporate locally sourced barn siding, flooring, and beams that are over 100 years old. The company intentionally leaves imperfections like nail holes and knots to add character. Guitars are built one at a time or in small batches, using traditional methods without CNC equipment.
