About

Rick’s Music Academy is located in Terryville and provides music instruction and audio production services. The owner, Rick Scarola, has been a musician since childhood and holds an extensive background in music and audio. His training includes studies at the Berklee College of Music, the Hartt Conservatory of Music, and the Armed Forces School of Music. He also served as a musician for the United States Marine Band.

Lessons are offered for many instruments including guitar, piano, drums, bass, and various brass, reed, or wind instruments. Students can also take classes on digital audio workstations like Logic Pro X and Pro Tools. These sessions allow people to learn from a teacher who has professional experience as a pit musician and a lead sound technician.

Beyond traditional lessons, this business works as a hub for audio production and live sound applications. Rick uses his experience in recording, post-production editing, and live sound to help his clients. He is currently completing a degree in audio production at The Los Angeles Film School to stay current with his skills.
