About

Kent Knorr has been involved with music for over 35 years as a player and teacher. Since 2007, he has run the North Carolina Ukulele Academy in Wilmington, NC. During that time, he’s taught ukulele to over 2,500 students of all ages and abilities.

Kent’s classes are designed to be enjoyable and help students achieve their musical goals. He teaches people with different abilities and goals, making learning to make their own music fun.

Kent offers in-person classes and workshops at the Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center in downtown Wilmington. The Ukulele Academy focuses on technique, style, jamming, and aloha.
