J.B. Hinkle brings a deep well of experience to his guitar instruction, cultivated over 35 years across diverse musical landscapes. His journey began in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the Guitar Studio, before a significant tenure at Gelb Music in San Jose, California. Notably, he also administered and taught at the San Jose branch of the National Guitar Workshop for four years, demonstrating both pedagogical and organizational acumen. Now based in Ellensburg, Washington, J.B. emphasizes a tailored approach, fostering musical growth without the conventional pressures often associated with formal lessons.

His teaching embraces a remarkably broad spectrum of genres, from the foundational elements of rock and blues to the intricate nuances of jazz, classical, and flamenco.
