Hoggtowne Music is Gainesville’s School Band Headquarters. They have been serving the community for over 20 years, offering instruments, supplies, and lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. Located in Thornebrook Village, their experienced staff helps musicians get to the head of the class.

At Hoggtowne Music, they focus on providing services to students playing in school band programs, plus private lessons. The company sells new and used band instruments and supplies. They also deliver to schools in Alachua, Marion, Union, Bradford, Gilchrist, Levy, and Baker counties, as well as the College of Central Florida and the University of Florida.

Hoggtowne Music offers lessons in various instruments including piano, guitar, ukulele, bass guitar, banjo, mandolin, violin, voice, clarinet and other woodwinds with 17 instructors teaching private lessons. Joe Dorsey is the owner and has worked in the music industry for over 30 years. Melonie Dorsey is also an owner and runs the lessons program.
