About

Guitar Tech is a repair shop located in Alameda, California. They have been working with guitars and basses since 1982, and were previously located in Berkeley, California for over 40 years. Stephen White is the owner and head repairman. He apprenticed with Ralph Novak between 1979 to 1982.

Stephen worked closely with musicians in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has maintained, repaired, and customized their instruments. Stephen has also developed new designs of electric guitars and basses. He can examine your instrument and discuss any work it needs.

Guitar Tech offers a range of repair services for electric and acoustic guitars, and electric bass. They operate by appointment only, Tuesday through Saturday, between 12 noon and 7 PM.
