East Mountain Studios is a music lesson and production facility located in Cold Spring, New York. The studio is run by a husband and wife team, Kathryn and Stephen, who work with students ranging from age 6 to adult. They teach a variety of instruments including guitar, piano, ukulele, bass, voice, banjo, and drums.

Lessons use a creative and social approach that prioritizes self-expression, songwriting, and student curiosity. Instructors focus on hearing and thinking about music before moving to rote memorization. Students learn to read and write music, with a curriculum that includes ear training, rhythm, and technique to help them develop their own unique musical voice.

These sessions are available in person or virtually through 30 or 45-minute bookings. The studio also offers supplemental options like their monthly Song Club and an online ukulele course. By keeping lessons joyful and engaging, the team aims to help every student make music a lifelong source of happiness.
