Dartmouth Music Centre, an initiative of Halifax Regional Arts, provides comprehensive music education within the Halifax Regional Municipality. Operating under the Halifax Regional Centre for Education, this centre enriches the community's cultural landscape through enhanced fine arts programming. It facilitates diverse artistic exploration, funded by local supplementary taxes, making quality instruction accessible.
The centre's offerings span a wide array of musical disciplines, from guitar and ukulele to strings, orchestras, and choirs. Beyond instrumental instruction, it also cultivates artistic expression through drumming, drama, dance, and visual arts programs. These opportunities are flexibly delivered, with in-person group lessons available before, during, and after school hours, as well as in the evenings, accommodating varied schedules.
