Stephen Galvin teaches guitar, bass, singing, and drums in central Auckland. He’s a qualified and registered teacher with lots of experience. Stephen started playing guitar when he was eight and teaching in 1981 at the New Zealand Guitar Academy. In 1984, he started his own studio and has taught many people in Auckland how to play guitar in different styles.

Stephen’s approach is to share the happiness of making music with as many people as possible, as often as possible. He has taught classical guitar and played in recitals. Some of his former students are now teachers themselves. Stephen has also played in musicals and with the Auckland Concert Orchestra.

He can teach you jazz, pop, rock, classical, and church music. Stephen also teaches singing, guitar, bass, and drums in three Auckland secondary schools. He leads three bands: The Residentz, Parnazz, and the Stevie G Band.
