About

Cedar House Music Studio offers music lessons in Seattle, Washington. Jon has been teaching music in the Seattle area for over 10 years. He studied piano performance at The Levine School of Music, graduated with distinction, and was accepted to the Brevard Music Academy in NC. He completed his studies with Mikhail Volchok at the University of Maryland. He has won numerous awards and performed in classical and jazz settings.

Jon tailors his teaching to each student’s learning style. He uses methods like Faber, Suzuki, and Royal Conservatory books, as well as scale books and theory. He encourages students to do recitals and prepares RCM learners for exams, making learning fun and effective. His goal is to help students build a lasting connection with their instruments.

Cedar House Music Studio provides private music lessons in piano, guitar, drums, and composition for ages 5 and up. Lessons are available for all levels, including adult students, and can be done in person and via Skype/Teams/Facetime. Jon is also a member of the Seattle Music Teachers Association and Music Teachers National Association.
