American Guitar Academy

American Guitar Academy offers music instruction for students of all ages starting at four years old. They operate out of studio locations in Hillsboro and Beaverton, though they also provide lessons online. Their coaches have developed a unique teaching method based on over thirty years of neuroscience research to help students learn music more quickly.

Lessons are available for a variety of instruments, including guitar, piano, drums, voice, and ukulele. Students may also study music theory, songwriting, and music production. Every lesson package includes full access to the AGA Music Lessons University online system, which provides students with extra videos, quizzes, and digital manuals to support their training.

Instructors work with people through private thirty-minute sessions that can happen in the studio or over Zoom. New students have the option to try the service through a starter program that includes three private lessons. The company aims to help students build confidence and gain the skills to play any musical style they choose.
