Lessons with Guitar Tom

Lessons with Guitar Tom is based in Mount Prospect and offers expert musical instruction. Tom has played the guitar since the fourth grade and earned a bachelor of arts degree in music from Bard College. He also served as adjunct faculty at the college and has performed on television and at various community events. Throughout his career, he has played alongside famous musicians and shared his talents at many local schools.

Students can choose between in-person or virtual lessons to fit their personal schedules. Tom teaches people how to master the guitar, ukulele, banjo, and bass. His lessons cover a wide range of skills including chords, soloing, and lead playing. He also helps students learn how to read music notation, tabs, and chord charts while teaching them about music theory and improvisation.

This experienced teacher is dedicated to helping every student succeed regardless of their current skill level. He offers lessons that focus on everything from the basics to advanced techniques.
