JJ has been teaching and inspiring students of all ages for decades. He focuses on keeping learning fun. He began playing at 6, got his first electric at 8, was gigging by high-school, and has since been in the roles of lead & rhythm guitarist, vocalist, bassist, even keyboardist, with many bands across the country, including 4-Warned, Snaglepuss, The Hard Country Outlaws, Les Lokey & the Monster Medicine Show, The Bootie Fish Ticklers, The Michael Brooks Band, Kopper Kreek Band, Moonshine Eclipse, Eight Second Ride, The Implication, and The Wildcards. In 2018 he created and organized the first Psychobilly Nightmare Freakshow, which has now become an annual Halloween event in Northern Illinois. At the present, in addition to teaching at Blazing Glory Studio, ,JJ is also teaching lessons at Guitar Center in Appleton, and gigging with Brent Bel & the Boys.
