Kenny Lavitz is a guitar teacher based in the Beaverton and Portland Metro area. He is a graduate of the G.I.T. music program who brings a lifetime of experience and enthusiasm to his students. He offers private lessons at three different locations and gives students the chance to earn college credit for their studies.

Lessons are customized to fit the individual needs and musical goals of each student. He teaches both acoustic and electric guitar and covers many styles, including blues, jazz, rock, and delta slide. Students will learn how to read music and transcribe songs, while beginners can start by playing simple riffs and songs.

He offers extra opportunities beyond the standard weekly lesson. He coordinates jam sessions for his students to play with others. Whether a student wants to learn special guitar techniques or play songs from Guitar Hero, he focuses on helping them learn exactly what they want to play.
