Chris Heitzman Music Lessons provides instruction in Kingston for students of every age. Chris Heitzman has been a musician for over 25 years and has spent more than a decade teaching others. He holds a bachelor’s degree from SUNY New Paltz, where he focused on jazz guitar and classical music composition. Beyond his teaching work, he performs internationally as the touring bass player for the indie-psych band Mercury Rev.

Lessons are focused on helping students have fun, build confidence, and express themselves through music. He provides a pressure-free environment where students can learn at their own pace and on their own time. He teaches guitar and electric bass to students regardless of their personal musical interests.

Musical styles offered include rock, pop, country, jazz, blues, folk, and classical. Students can choose to schedule their sessions on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis. It is also possible to arrange lessons on a flexible schedule to fit the needs of the student.
