About

Mark Wade Music is a professional musician and teacher based in Minneapolis. He began playing music at age seven and started his professional career at age 16 with the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra. After studying bass performance at Music Tech, he spent over 20 years playing with the indie band The Melismatics. His experience includes touring across the United States, Japan, and the UAE, along with playing at major festivals like Lollapalooza.

Lessons are designed to be fun and positive for students of all learning styles. He tailors his instruction to fit what each person wants to achieve, whether that involves reading music, ear training, or learning specific songs. During his sessions, students receive guidance on various topics such as guitar theory, barre chords, the CAGED system, and the Nashville Number System.

Students can choose between 30-minute or 60-minute private lessons for guitar, ukulele, electric bass, or upright bass. Mark Wade Music also provides instruction online or in his studio located at the Center for Performing Arts in Minneapolis. Outside of teaching, he offers services in music production and professional recording for those looking to develop their own projects.
