I\u2019m a guitarist, piano accompanist, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and music educator with a B.A. in Music from Florida State University with more than eight years of teaching experience. I\u2019ve worked with students of all ages and experience levels, from complete beginners picking up an instrument for the first time to experienced musicians looking to expand their technique and musicianship.<\/p>\n
My approach to music instruction is built around the individual student. Rather than treating every player as if they should follow the same path, I use the music they genuinely care about as a starting point for developing technique, rhythm, ear training, theory, improvisation, and a deeper understanding of how music works.<\/p>\n
As an active performer and arranger across classical, rock, folk, jazz, and contemporary music, I bring a broad musical perspective to lessons. My goal is not simply to teach students how to play songs, but to give them the tools to become independent, curious musicians who can understand, create, and make the instrument their own.<\/p>\n
