He is known as one of the best steel string acoustic guitarists. His live performances are exciting, and he plays with skill.<\/p>\n<p>He was part of the group La Vienta, along with flamenco guitarist Stefan Schyga. La Vienta was nominated for a Grammy in 1994 and reached #17 on Billboard&#8217;s Contemporary Jazz Charts. La Vienta has played in many locations and always got standing ovations.<\/p>\n<p>As a soloist, Mario Otero has played at the \u201c3rd Annual World On A String Guitar Festival\u201d with other guitarists such as Sergio and Odair Assad, David Russell, and Rafael Jimenez.
